the tool is a board-game that help young players develop social and personal skills, improving the awareness of the European Youth Strategies (2009-2020) with non formal education's methods.

Aim: 

EuropAlien has been created to help young players develop social and personal skills, improving the awareness of the European Youth Strategies (2009-2020) with non formal education's methods. 

Methodology: 

EuropAlien is a board game made by the teamwork of youth workers with 42 different backgrounds from Portugal, Germany and Italy. EurpAlien collects several methodologies in one game . Designed to be inclusive and flexible to the needs of the users( cooperative learing, problem solving, decision making process). This game was developed in the context of fewer opportunities also charming for youngsters thanks to the well-designed layout. It has also a way to engage the youngsters in a reflection about the game's dynamics called Strategic Meeting to face the next missions.A  easy-to-print version it is avaible to foster the vision of a full acceccibility, in this direction is also the project to design a version for people with a visual impairment.

Step by step process: 

1- short explanation of the rules of the game2- first session of the game3- first mission OR choose the missin more relevant for the users4- strategic meeting (reflection)5- facilitator's report (for the facilitator)

Outcomes: 

The board game is still in test phase. From the 50 tests already done, we got a high level of satisfaction of the players.Around the 90% of the users really enjoyed the game and say that they have learnt more about Europe and their competences.

Evaluation: 

The tool has been created to engage the youngsters in a reflecting process through the metod of the trojan horse:  having fun guys discover new solutions to overcome common obstacles and they gain new informations. During the test phase the tool seems to be suitable for the target.
