Peace - More than just a symbol
Participants are empowered to construct a group definition of peace education. The tool guides the reflection on the meaning of peace education and helps participants acknowledge the diversity of concepts within the group.
1. Working individually each participant writes his/her definition for PEACE EDUCATION. The statements should demonstrate their own understandings of the concept of peace.
2. Groups of four/six are formed to share and discuss what has been written and to prepare a mutually agreed short statement defining peace education. The statement is written out in large letters on a sheet of flipchart paper.
3. Each group displays its poster and explains its content to the whole group.
