HOP, being based on Moodle technology is a very versatile resource that offers almost endless possibilities for creating dynamic and engaging courses. However, it is not necessarily the most initiative platform to use and it requires some commitment and a fair set of digital competences. If that commitment is there, then it can really become a playground for trying out and implementing different activities and platforms.
At the moment, the HOP is available for courses proposed by National Agencies and SALTO Resource Centres. That said, it gives an insight into developing and facilitating activities on any other Moodle platform and, at the same time, it offers periodic training courses to develop competences of facilitators to create their own online offers. As of later this autumn, there should be a possibility to offer the platform to all E+ and ESC beneficiary organisations, with the requirement that at least first course on HOP is prepared with support from mentor (HOP council member).
