The Tools Market is an opportunity to discover a broader range of tools, publications, and methodologies brought by participants. The buzz created by so many ideas being explored simultaneously is one of the highlights of the Tool Fair. In this market, you will be able to see up close what other youth workers are creating, and who knows, maybe while wandering around the stalls, you will find your next favorite tool, a future partnership, or inspiration to create your own
WHERE THE TOOL MARKET WILL TAKE PLACE?
at La Friche Belle de Mai:
In the 19th century, the Manufacture of Tobbaco "la Belle de Mai" was the headquarters of one of the most important tobacco factories in France. It was, at that time, the city's largest employer and the second largest factory in France, after Paris.
Today, La Friche Belle de Mai is “(…) a political experiment, a place of thought and action renewing the relationship of art to the territory and to society”; a new cultural urban model (La Friche Manifesto – 2020). It brings together urban transformation, artistic permanence, a link to the territory and active cooperation in the general interest; a unique place for creation & innovation.
This year the 16th International tool Market will take place in the “Cartonnerie”, one of the largest covered space in the Friche that regularly hosts shows, concerts and festivals and this year our 16th International Tool Market! If you want to leave a unique citizen adventure at the heart of this societal project while having the chance to present your organisation/ your work, come and join us for the Tool Market on November 24th afternoon!

Our Tool Market will also close during the European Youth Year. On that occasion, 50 young people who have been French or European volunteers will be invited to share, and exchange with our participants during the Tool Market afternoon.
If you are interested to have a space in the Tool Market, please feel free to contact us as soon as possible the team member responsible for it, Audrey (audreyperron.formation@gmail.com).
Keep in mind that according to the theme of the week, the request would be to avoid producing or distributing too much paper. We invite you to come with one or two posters of your organization. Vertical displays and a table with 2 chairs will be at your disposal. You can also bring a laptop computer but we won't have the possibility to have a power outlet. So please make sure you load your computer before participating in the tool market.
