A pilot experience in the Balkans

The European Association for Local Democracy ALDA in co-operation with eight Local Democracy Agencies - LDAs in Balkan countries ( ) and the European Comission's resource centre SALTO Eromed & Good Practices is organising the pilot Tool Fair in the Balkans in Prishtina, a one- day learning event to provide the youth engagement workers included in the multiannual regional co-operation programme with competences, the possibility to share their tools and ideas to use in their everyday work with young people in local communities across the Western Balkans, in order to empower them to participate in local public life and contribute effectively to local democracy development, as well as in education and in the employment. This sharing event is organised as a unique learning by doing and co-operation opportunity for the group of youth workers to develop skills, such as intercultural competencies, creative cultural undertaking, career guidance, coaching, mentoring, youth empowerment and sustainable development. The practices provided by the participants and experienced by the participants during the TF Kosovo 2017 will be translated into educational tools, methods and activities to be further used in LDAs local communities in the youth field, for the personal and professional development of youth engagement workers.
