The SWOT analysis allows users to identify the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats of implementing an idea or project
Explanation of the tool and identification of a situation/case to be applied on.
Strengths and Weaknesses. Refers mainly to the internal environment, the situation inside the company or organization. Eg: factors relating to products, pricing, costs, profitability, performance, quality, people, skills, adaptability, brands, services, reputation, processes, infrastructure, etc. Tends to reflect the current/present situation
Opportunities and Threats. Refers to the external environment, the situation outside the company or organization. Eg: factors relating to markets, sectors, audience, fashion, seasonality, trends, competition, economics, politics, society, culture, technology, environmental, media, law, etc. Tends to reflect the potential future
Simple paper/notepads/notebooks and pens are sufficient.
The tool can also be used on electronic devices such as laptops, iPads, computers, phones etc.
A clearer understanding of the PROs and CONs of an idea, project, personal skills and decisions etc.
