Major tool is a social card game which consists of 60 beautifully illustrated cards of fierce women, 10 action cards and the rules of the game. We also made Educational Package - 16 ideas for additional educational activities focusing on gender equality which can be used before or after playing the game, and are rooted in discovery based learning, problem based learning, peer learning and creative art expression.

Step by step process:

Here you can find game rules in text, and video form, and also Educational Package - 16 ideas for additional educational activities focusing on gender equality which can be used before or after playing the game, and are rooted in discovery based learning, problem based learning, peer learning and creative art expression.

Materials and resources:

For up to 6 persons you will need one deck of Fierce Women cards, and for 30 persons you will need 5 decks.

Outcomes:

Awareness about uneven presentation of the present and the presence of women and men in the public space
Shattered stereotypes about the absence of large contributions of women in the development of society
Adapted knowledge of the diverse contributions of women through history
Openness to various career opportunities for women
Established positive links between oneself, familiar women and women on the cards that lead to empowerment and self-confidence.

Evaluation:

The game is quite fun, and the rules of the game itself can sometimes (depending on the group) take the focus of the players so much that they do not look at women and their biographies on cards, so we added additional 16 activities/tasks that you can play before or after the game, to navigate group's focus more precisely.

Notes for further use:

You can use different aspects of educational package, and adjust your sessions from 30 to 120 minutes, using additional 16 activities which can help you as an introduction on the subject of gender equality before playing the social card game, or depthen the subject after the social card game.
